Hockey Northland is running the 2021 “Taniwha Hockey Programme” which is an additional player development opportunity for-age group players.
The Taniwha Hockey Programme is a Hockey Northland initiative focused on players at U14, U16 and U18 levels that have a love of Hockey who aspire to become a better player.
The philosophies of the Taniwha Hockey Programme centre around five points
-Personalised Environment: Individualised training to maximise the skill potential of each person
-Build Great Habits: Development of great training habits and standards to compete at the highest levels
-Broaden Game Understanding: Create students of the game who understand how to implement the skills they learn in a game situation
-Push the Boundaries: Encourage each player to explore their creativity while exposing them to a wide range of skills and thinking from around the globe
-Love for Hockey: Create an experience to develop a passion for the game for life
The programme will be led by Henry Wong and Rocio Gonzalez Canda
Registrations close 5pm on Friday 29th January and successful participants will be notified via email by Tuesday 9th February.
The cost is $200 per participant.
Sessions Starting Sunday 14th February and running every Sunday for 6 weeks the last session will be Sunday 21st March
